In 'A New Hope' Obi-Wan tells Luke he met his father during the clone wars. This is also stated in many other places in the Star Wars Literature. However, in Episode 1, They meet and the clone wars have yet to begin.
In Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, when Obi-Wan says to Qui-Gon,
'Why do I sense we've picked up another pathetic life-form?', his
Padawan braid (the really long strand of hair) has magically switched
sides from the right side of his head to the left.
